New home for the elderly built in Salka
A new home for the elderly was built in Salka. There is a growing need for elderly care everywhere, and the waiting list is particularly long in the region. The new facility, which was created by renovating an existing but unoccupied building in the municipality, aims to fulfil this need.

BTC EGTC employee participated in training in Oslo
The Municipality4Democracy training course was held in Oslo, Norway, between October 9-14. 2022, to which 28 youth professionals from 10 European Union countries (Portugal, Italy, Norway, Belgium, Greece, Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Croatia, Hungary) were invited.
Special event at the Active Ageing Centre
An award ceremony for the most active seniors was organised at the Active Ageing Centre, located in Košice at Bačíková 7, on 13 October 2022. The award ceremony was attended by Julianna Máté, Director of Via Carpatia EGTC, and Trnka Rastislav, President of the County Council of Košice, who praised the active attitude of the seniors at the Active Ageing Centre.
