In my research, I analysed the key opportunities of the Slovak-Hungarian border. I would like to underline that developing the regional economy is absolutely necessary for improving the tourism sector, since it creates opportunities for the sale of local goods. In order to improve tourism, it is vital to maintain high standards in infrastructure and in services. The border destinations can be very attractive for capital investment, enabling the realisation of the multiplies effect.

I also examine the motivations that support the cross the border interactions. I try to underline to how underutilized the Euroregion’s potentials are and that to emphasize the importance of establishing a unified tourism marketing and marketing communication.
