Via Carpatia EGTC

The Via Carpatia project aiming to combat climate change has been a great success: a total of 26 schools from Košice county participated in the project.

A rain garden was created for the winning school and 5 green walls were installed in all schools participating in the project. 10 schools were equipped with waste bins and electric composters, and 7 SMART watches were handed out. In total, 2265 participants have become more ecologically conscious through the project.

The project was implemented by the Young4Climate team, the Technical University of Košice, the Smart Innovation Norway organisation, the Košice County Council and partner schools, with the support of EEA and Norway Grants.
