The region has reached a significant and positive milestone with the official inauguration of a new cycle path between Máriakálnok and Halászi. This development not only links the two settlements but also strengthens connections between communities, opportunities, and experiences.

The approximately 1.5 km long section provides safe and comfortable transport for both everyday use and leisure activities—whether commuting to work, enjoying a family bike ride, or embarking on a longer journey along the EuroVelo 6 route.

The project was implemented through the cooperation of the municipalities of Máriakálnok and Halászi, together with the Arrabona EGTC, using European Union and national funding, with a total investment of around 259 million HUF.

This development is a great example of how regional thinking, collaboration, and sustainable investments can lead to tangible and meaningful results.

Beyond being a transport link, the new cycle path is also part of an experience-rich route: along the Halászi–Máriakálnok–Mosonmagyaróvár cycling circuit, cyclists can enjoy beaches, playgrounds, recreational parks, and even festivals.
