Fourth stakeholder meeting – SLOWDOWN
Information
In connection with the project implemented under the Interreg Europe programme entitled SLOWDOWN, the fourth stakeholder (local stakeholders) meeting took place on 20 January 2026 in Lábatlan, at the Dunamente Eco Centre.
At the beginning of the meeting, Péter Nagy, Director of the EGTC, presented the activities and events that had taken place in the project since the previous meeting, including the experiences of the partner meeting held in Galway (Ireland) in September 2025.
Erika Farkas, a project officer of the Komárom–Esztergom County Local Government, presented the process of reviewing the county’s green strategy.
Based on good practices adopted from the partners, the planning of a so-called pilot project (demonstration or trial project) has also begun, which is planned to be submitted in the near future. The development concept envisioned was presented by Zoltán Szekér, tourism expert.
At the end of the meeting, the Director informed the participants that this year one partner meeting will be held in Sibiu and another in Amiens (France). At each location, participation can be ensured for two stakeholders. The preparation of a new podcast is also among the upcoming plans, for which a discussion partner is planned to be invited from among the project partners. In March, the project partners from Riga will be hosted; together, they plan to visit and present several locations represented by the stakeholders.
