Fifth stakeholder meeting – SLOWDOWN
Information
The fifth Stakeholder Meeting of the SLOWDOWN project took place on 2 June 2026 at the Gerecse Nature Park Visitor Centre in Péliföldszentkereszt.
At the beginning of the meeting, Péter Nagy, Director of the EGTC, presented the project and reviewed the activities carried out so far. Erika Farkas, Project Officer at the Komárom-Esztergom County Municipality, informed participants about the ongoing review of the county’s Green Strategy. Representing VisitUs, Managing Director Zoltán Szekér examined the sustainability of slow tourism developments from a business perspective.
The second part of the meeting was held in a more interactive format. The organisers presented the responses received to a questionnaire distributed in advance. Participants then discussed and evaluated selected responses in two working groups before holding a brainstorming session on the development of tourism project packages.
Since the launch of the project, numerous new partnerships have been established among the participants. As the group of invited stakeholders continues to expand from meeting to meeting, this event also provided an excellent opportunity to foster new collaborations among tourism organisations, service providers, and representatives of other sectors.
