Since the the Regulation (EC) No 1082/2006  entered into force (1st August 2007), altogether 29 EGTCs have been registered in the European Union, out of them 10 with registered seat in Hungary and 2 with seat in Slovakia with Hungarian participation. Hence, the following short snapshot provides a brief analysis of the 10 EGTCs with Hungarian participation operating actively since their establishment. The snapshot looks at issues like the establishment of the EGTCs, strategic objectives of the EGTCs, institutional framework, decision-making and finally the financial conditions.
