This paper presents answers for the questions related to territorial (cross-border, transnational and/or interregional) cooperation. It primarily aims to discover the objectives and the mission of the EGTC as a European institutional tool. To be more specific, the discussion document looks for answers for the topics, like standardisation process of the established EGTCs, itemising the advantages of the EGTC, optional tools of the improvement, obstacles for creation of the EGTC, measures supporting institutionalised territorial cooperation, promotion of the Community legislative instrument of the EGTC, improving the procedure for creating EGTCs.
