Study on organisational aspects of cross-border INTERREG programmes – Case studies: description, analysis and consequences of the legal organisation of the programmes and structures in the sample

Abstract

This document presents case studies, description analysis and consequences of the legal organisation of the programmes and structures. It analyses more closely the legal and organisation structuring of a sample of programmes in order to draw attention to the advantages and drawbacks of each of the models studied, and also to point out the good practices developed under INTERREG III that could be useful for INTERREG IV.

Moreover, it looks at the following issues, like changes, new mission and implications; implementation of a cross-border cooperation structure in the framework of INTERREG IV, the advantages and the limits of the EGTC; recommendations and tools aiding the decisionmaking process.
