Via Carpatia EGTC

The Via Carpatia EGTC has signed a cooperation agreement with Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. The memorandum aims to establish a long-term partnership, strengthen the connection between academic expertise and practical experience, and support initiatives that contribute to the sustainable development of the region.

The partnership builds on the REHETEAST project, implemented under the Interreg Danube Region Programme, through which Via Carpatia EGTC and the university collaborated on the development of an energy mix map.

The map is a practical tool that can be used by residents, municipalities, and potential investors in the Košice Region to better understand local energy opportunities. It also serves as a valuable resource for regional development planning and for supporting informed decision-making on energy-related investments and solutions.
