DANURB+ INTERNATIONAL PARTNER MEETING AND STUDY TOUR IN HUNGARY, SLOVAKIA AND AUSTRIA

The international partner meeting of the DANUrB+ project took place between 10 and 15 October 2021 in Hungary, Slovakia and Austria. Project partners from 6 countries participated in the event, which focused on evaluating the results achieved so far and discussing good practices.

The founding document of the DANUrB International Association was signed on 11 October in Esztergom. The aim of the association is to coordinate cultural initiatives of the municipalities along the Danube, to strengthen the establishment of relations and network building in the Danube region, as well as to create a common quality label.

The partner meeting and the related workshops took place on 12 and 13 October at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. The topics discussed included the possibilities of joint development of the peripheral and border regions along the Danube, and the preparation of local development plans. A central theme was the establishment of a network of local stakeholders and the preparation of action plans.

The partner meeting concluded with a Western European study tour in Austria on 14 and 15 October.
