Via Carpatia EGTC

At the beginning of September, the Via Carpatia EGTC officially launched its new LINK-AGE project during the kick-off meeting in Treviso, Italy, together with its project partners. The initiative aims to make elderly care more innovative through international cooperation.

The project will integrate and further develop solutions that have already been successfully tested in four European projects: PROCAREFUL, CROSSCARE 2.0, DigiCare4CE, and STAR. These initiatives introduced new approaches to home care, digital technologies and IoT solutions for residential care facilities, person-centred care models, and methods to support older adults’ independence and participation in community life.

For the Via Carpatia EGTC, LINK-AGE also represents the continuation of the work carried out under the DigiCare4CE project. The experience and achievements gained in developing digital solutions for elderly care will now be expanded through a broader international partnership.

As the next step, these solutions will be adapted to the specific needs of each participating region and tested through six pilot actions in six countries, including Slovakia.
