The Pons Danubii EGTC celebrated the 10th anniversary of its foundation on 24 June 2021 in the Piarist Religious House in Tata.
The festive event was organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and alongside the EGTCs, the representatives of the member settlements and organisations that have recently cooperated with the organisation were also invited. Zoltán Bara, head of Pons Danubii EGTC, summarised the work of the organisation over the past 10 years.
The total budget of the projects managed by Pons Danubii EGTC has exceeded 17 million euros over the past ten years. The main directions of development are the development of green public transport; the development of cycling tourism, thematic playgrounds and cross-border economic development. The event which included an EGTC workshop provided an opportunity for the European Groupings of Territorial Cooperation to share their experiences and prepare for the 2021-27 period.
