The Pannon EGTC held the closing conference of the “CB Joint Strategy” project at the Kodály Centre in Pécs on 26 April 2023.

The large-scale event took place both in-person and online in Croatian and Hungarian languages. The aim of the project was to plan the joint Hungarian-Croatian development programme of the 2021-2027 EU budget cycle. The conference was the closing of the project that started in 2019.

The conference was attended by Dr. László Őri, president of the County of Baranya and the Pannon EGTC, Ratimir Ljubić, the Deputy County Prefect of Koprivnica-Križevci County and Vice-President of the Pannon EGTC, Drago Horvat, Consul General of the Consulate-General of the Republic of Croatia in Pécs, Stella Arneri, Director of the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds of the Republic of Croatia, Péter Kiss-Parciu, Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and József Attila Móring, Government Commissioner for the Development of the Southern Transdanubian Region.

Following the greetings, the work carried out, the completed programme document and the 5 priority project proposals were presented, which the association prepared and published in close cooperation with experts.

Nikoletta Horváth and Dr Márton Szűcs, representing the Managing Authority of the Programme and the Joint Secretariat, also gave presentations. The former presentation was about border programmes covering the border sections of Hungary, while the latter covered the proposals and projects in the 2014-2020 period.
