The CultDialogue project is implemented in close partnership with the European Border Cities EGTC, located in Nyíregyháza, and Veľké Kapušany. The partners are jointly looking for solutions for cultural challenges as follows:

– They think it is important to introduce cultural tradition in order to strengthen local identity and population retention.
– The population of the cities is ethnically diverse: the combination of the Carpatho/Slovak/Hungarian cultural heritage contributes to social cohesion.
– The methods, procedures and institutional cooperation from an integrated transmission of cultural values are lacking.

The overall goal is to strengthen social cohesion between people, especially young people, living in the border region by transferring joint cultural values. The specific objectives of the proposal are as follows:

– Strengthening the capacities and cooperation of cultural organisations
– Establishing a methodology for the development of cross-border cultural cooperation
– Preserving the Carpatho/Slovak/Hungarian values in order to enhance local identity and understanding between nationalities.
