The aim of the TAPE – Food Industry – occupational, regional action plan is to promote sustainable, high quality employment and labour mobility in the food sector of the border region. The aim of the project is to establish a sustainable and internationally competitive food industry in the Hungarian-Slovak border region, which could support the creation of new jobs as well as increase the efficiency of enterprises. The TAPE-Food Industry reacts to the changing consumer and industry trends, in the framework of which, the SMEs participating in the project are establishing the conditions for developing a new, healthy and regional product range by introducing innovative technologies and processing raw materials produced locally. They also aim to establish long-term cooperation between food industry actors, namely, the Food Industry Research Institution based in Bratislava and the Széchenyi István University in Győr providing the research background of the proposal.
