On 9 and 10 November 2021, Rába-Danube-Váh EGTC held an online Information Day in Hungarian and Slovakian, where a new call for proposals for improving cross-border cooperation between public institutions and people living in border areas under Priority Axis 4 (SKHU/WETA/2101) was presented.

In the online space, Zoltán Németh, President of Rába-Danube-Váh EGTC opened the information day, highlighting that the Kisprojekt Alap (Small Projects Fund) is one of the most successful Slovak-Hungarian Interreg Programme, which has so far supported almost 120 applications worth €6 million, involving 250 organisations including project partners. Emma Vasi, Director of Rába-Danube-Váh EGTC, emphasized the role of the EGTC, and outlined their achievements in the development of the border area and cooperation. The total amount of ERDF funding for the current call for proposals is almost €620 000, which may increase somewhat until the proposals are evaluated. The Small Projects Fund can provide grants of between €20 000 and €50 000 to applicants. The deadline for submission of calls for proposals is 3 December 2021 and the deadline for implementation is 30 April 2022.

The virtual meeting was attended by representatives of municipalities, public institutions, schools, NGOs, civic associations and local action groups, with a total of 190 applicants registering for the event. The objectives, activities, target groups, supported activities, expected results, sustainability aspects and simplified forms for financial support were presented. The information day also provided an opportunity to share specific experiences and ask questions.
