New bike park in Győr – successful call for proposals and management by the Arrabona EGTC

As part of the National Bike Park Programme (Active Hungary), a new pump-track and an additional KIDS track have been successfully built in the Bácsai-Szitás-hill herb garden in Győr. Going from a project idea to the full construction took almost 9 months, and the process was supported by the Arrabona EGTC through application writing and project management. The 1500 square metre track has already been opened to cyclists on 11 November.
Máriusz Révész, government commissioner responsible for the development and promotion of cycling and active recreation, said at the opening ceremony that the government is committed to making Hungary one of the most liveable countries, which includes encouraging Hungarian people to do more physical activities.
