Literature of particular Hungarian EGTCs

I would like to emphasize that the development of the regional economy is absolutely necessary for improving the tourism sector, since it will create opportunities for retailing local goods. In my research, I am exploring the key opportunities of the Slovak-Hungarian border.

In order to improve tourism, it is vital to maintain high standards in both infrastructure and services. Border destinations can be very attractive for capital investment, hence allowing for the realization of a multiplier effect. I also examine the motivations behind cross-border movement. I aim to highlight how the Euroregion’s potentials are underutilized and emphasize the necessity of creating a unified tourism marketing and communication strategy.

An inventory of the Ister-Granum EGTC has been completed, taking stock of all the conditions favourable to tourism. Village tourism, cultural tourism and spa tourism are all potential branches of tourism developments that can build on the excellent conditions of the region. The aim is to promote the natural and touristic values of the Ister-Granum EGTC in publications, professional forums and exhibitions.
