The report underlines the importance of multilevel governance for the implementation of the community agenda and the response to global challenges, it reaffirms the European Union’s core objectives and promotes its added value in consolidating the community method and finally, the most desirable ways to meet the challenges. This consultation addresses the internal cohesion of the European Union, democratization processes, the changing role of local and regional authorities and the importance of the added value provided by multilevel governance.
