The document gives a short summary on the achievements that Hungary made on cross-border institutionalised cooperation in the light of the Madrid Outline Convention. The analysis describes the evolution of cross-border cooperation from the point of view of institutionalisation, the role of the Madrid Outline Convention and it compares the tools of the EGTC and ECG. The report aims to promote the adoption of the appropriate legislation, supporting cross-border cooperation and better understanding of territorial processes around Hungary.
