Border Sustainability Forum organised by Arrabona EGTC
Information
Arrabona EGTC held a Border Sustainability Forum on 22 May 2024 in the framework of the cross-border Small Projects Fund application, which took place in the banquet hall of the Town Hall of Mosonmagyaróvár, and, in the afternoon, the professional and round table discussions continued in a restaurant in Mosonmagyaróvár.
The professional forum was attended mainly by the leaders of member municipalities of southern Slovakia and Hungary and other municipalities, as well as by organisations and experts in the field. A keynote speech on what municipalities can do to promote sustainability opened the series of the presentations. The rest of the day was devoted to presentations on sustainability efforts in the field of public catering, the activities of the Dunavit Landscape Conservation Association, sustainable urban development and good practices in urban green spaces.
The topics addressed during the presentations were followed by a round table discussion in the afternoon. The aim of the programme was to promote and strengthen cross-border cooperation.
The event is part of the “Arrabona” HUSK/SPF/2301/3.2/080 “Cross-border cooperation in the Arrabona EGTC area”, funded by the Small Project Fund of the Interreg VI-A Hungary-Slovakia Programme.
The EU grant support is EUR 21 145.
