DigiCare4CE Project Successfully Concluded

Between 2023 and 2026, Via Carpatia EGTC participated in the DigiCare4CE project, an international cooperation initiative focused on supporting the digital transformation of long-term care services. Together with their project partners, the EGTC tested innovative solutions designed to improve both the quality of life of residents in long-term care facilities and the working conditions of care professionals.

In Slovakia, Via Carpatia EGTC implemented two pilot projects:

  • At the Via Lux care facility, they tested the use of virtual reality (VR) to support cognitive development and encourage greater engagement among residents.
  • They also implemented a pilot project introducing smart technologies and monitoring solutions to enhance safety and improve the efficiency of care services.

These solutions were tested directly in real-life care settings, demonstrating their potential to support everyday activities, increase residents’ sense of security, and strengthen their social interactions.

Through the project, Via Carpatia EGTC gained valuable experience, established new partnerships, and developed practical solutions that can contribute to the long-term improvement of care services.

A summary of the project’s main results is available in the following video:
