Third stakeholder meeting
Information
Ister – Granum EGTC is participating as a lead partner in the SLOWDOWN project, which has received funding from the Interreg-Europe program. The project focuses on slow tourism.
During the implementation of the project, the third stakeholder meeting took place on September 17, 2025, in Lábatlan, at the Dunamente Ökocentrum. The participants of the workshop were the managers and staff of the local tourism coordination offices of the Ister-Granum region.
At the beginning of the meeting, Péter Nagy, director of EGTC, presented the activities and events that had taken place since the previous meeting, including the experiences of the Murcia Staff Exchange in June.
Thanks to the SLOWDOWN project, the Slow Tourism Strategy for Komárom-Esztergom County will be developed. The participants began preparing and laying the foundations for the strategy in a workshop. They also looked for good examples and models from the region that could form part of a future priority project.
Thanks to the project, the partners are visiting each other and getting to know the characteristics of the given municipality and region. They can use their experiences in their own regions as well. The next project meeting will take place in Galway, Ireland. At the meeting in Lábatlan, the stakeholders discussed the best practices that the Ister-Granum delegation could present to the international partnership. At the end of the workshop, they discussed further project visits to be held with the Italian, French, and Romanian partners.
