Call for tender for the preparation of an Action Plan in the framework of the Resilient borders project

Call for tenders for the preparation of an Action Plan under the project “Enhancing flood and drought resilience along the river Drava”, project number 2022CE160AT316 CB-CRII, Resilient Borders – Cross-Border Spatial Planning and Crisis Management Pilot Actions.
The Municipality of Baranya County has concluded a contract with the Pannon EGTC for the provision of expert services in the context of the “Enhancing flood and drought resilience along the river Drava” project, which was awarded under the Resilient Borders call for proposals.
The aim of the project is to enhance flood and drought resilience along the Drava, long-term planning activities for water conservation farming and sustainable land use, including the study of water conservation use of low-lying areas less suitable for agriculture, to promote the rehabilitation of the water cycle in the sub-regions, to allow for regular shallow water flooding in many areas and to help in the long term to develop floodplain landscape management model areas. On the other hand, cooperation will also make it possible to create the conditions necessary for drawing up action plans to prepare for or prevent flood risks.
One of the most important results of the project is the Cross-border Action Plan prepared by the project partners, which is a document describing the activities needed to protect and strengthen the water retention capacity of soils and aquifers, restore and maintain the natural characteristics of ecosystems and watercourses, and apply natural processes.
The resulting Action Plan will use the knowledge, understanding and good practices resulting from the cooperation between the project partners in the framework of the River Drava’s water retention and flood risk management concept.
At the local level, the Action Plan will be prepared, developed, modified and proposed by a group of local stakeholders meeting 6 times.
The Pannon EGTC will launch a procurement procedure for the preparation of the Action Plan. The call for tender and its annex are available at the following link: https://pannonkorlatolt-my.sharepoint.com/:f:/g/personal/info_pannonegtc_eu/EvAnv3xkWmBLkS_3Oniyah4B9Oi1BZ52Byn3QCJFajA72A?e=dq53Mv
