Ceremonial opening of the active tourism entry and exit point in Dunakiliti
Information
On 29 June 2024, in the presence of Dr. István Nagy, Minister of Agriculture, the active tourist entry and exit point created by the Municipality of Dunakiliti and the Arrabona EGTC was inaugurated. The project was implemented within the framework of the call for proposals TOP_PLUSZ-1.1.3-21 “Local and Regional Tourism Development”, and was awarded with a grant of HUF 39.6 million, supplemented by HUF 7.4 million of municipal co-financing.
The new entry and exit point was built at the junction of the Zátony Danube branch and Gyümölcsös Street, which crosses Dunakiliti. The project included the construction of an open community space, men’s, women’s and barrier-free toilets, a closed storage room and a shower. The development will primarily serve the needs of those arriving on water, but will also provide an excellent recreational facility for those arriving by bicycle or on foot.
The project was prepared and managed by Arrabona EGTC.
