On 4 February 2025, the 3rd meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the Small Projects Fund was held in Košice, supported by the Hungary-Slovakia Interreg VI-A Programme.
The meeting was attended by members of the Monitoring Committee from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary and the Ministry of Investment, Regional Development and Information Technology of the Slovak Republic.
From 18th to 20th September 2024, the Via Carpatia team participated in a work visit to Treviso, Italy, where they met the international partners of the DigiCare4CE project. The purpose of this three-day meeting was to assess the current stage of the implementation of our pilot actions and to share the experiences of the participating partners.
As part of the DigiCare4CE project aimed at improving seniors’ care, several Slovakian students had the opportunity to participate in a summer school at Technische Hochschule Deggendorf in Germany.
Via Carpatia, in a joint service trip with IT Valley, met with the Italian GO! EGTC in Gorizia and the PIXEL team in Florence.
Virtual reality glasses were handed over by Via Carpatia staff at the Via Lux nursing home in Košice. These devices will help improve the health of the elderly and improve their cognitive status.
The Via Carpatia project aiming to combat climate change has been a great success: A total of 26 schools from Košice county participated in the project.
Via Carpatia staff were delighted to work with the charity organisation Úsmev ako dar to help disadvantaged families. Clothing, household items and children’s toys were collected and donated to all households.
As part of the ReheatEAST (Danube Region Programme) project, Via Carpatia staff attended the international kick-off meeting in Zagreb, Croatia.
Via Carpatia EGTC is pleased to announce that the first call for tenders of the Small Project Fund has been successfully concluded with a high participation rate.
The partners of the project “Cross-border cooperation to revive forgotten partnership in Gombasek and Szilvásvárad” (SKHU GO&SZI), which is implemented in the framework of the Interreg V-A Slovakia-Hungary Cooperation Programme, were the Sine Metu Civic Association, the Municipality of Szilvásvárad, the Hegyvidék OUTDOOR Programme Office and the Hamelli Horticulture from Gombasek.
