Young4Climate is a project approved and implemented under the “Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation” (SK-Climate) and co-financed by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 and the State Budget of the Slovak Republic. The project will be implemented by Via Carpatia EGTC in cooperation with the Technical University of Košice and Smart Innovation Norway AS.
An award ceremony for the most active seniors was organised at the Active Ageing Centre, located in Košice at Bačíková 7, on 13 October 2022. The award ceremony was attended by Julianna Máté, Director of Via Carpatia EGTC, and Trnka Rastislav, President of the County Council of Košice, who praised the active attitude of the seniors at the Active Ageing Centre.
The field of ecology, sustainable development and the circular economy is currently gaining in importance. Climate change and environmental pollution pose new challenges for society and require a more responsible approach from all of us.
The team of the Via Carpatia EGTC took part in the Expo 2020 Dubai, whose motto is “Sustainability, mobility and opportunity.”
The Via Carpatia EGTC awarded the skilled students for their successful projects, which were entered in the competition “Improve the school and its surroundings” organized within the project “We will improve the environmental responsibility of students!”.
The project “Improving the environmental responsibility of students!” Was successfully completed by the final conference organized by EZUS Via Carpatia on March 17, 2022 in Košice.
As part of the “Élő történelem” – “Living History” project, a new interactive exhibition was ceremoniously opened on March 16, 2022 in the Lower Gate in Košice.
The use of visual elements is an effective way of educating students. Especially in the field of environmental education, this form of raising awareness will help to better understand the issue.
The implementation of the SKHU Ambassadors project continues with the preparation of the Active Aging Center. On Friday, March 4, 2022, a meeting was held with external experts who will ensure the content of individual activities for seniors within the center.
As part of the “Living History” [Élő történelem] project, the restoration of the Patay Castle in Abaújszántó-Cekeháza is currently ongoing.
