MURABA EGTC is organizing a four-day free programming camp for 13-16-year-old students attending schools in the border region. As part of the camp, Slovenian-language training will be available in Lendava, where Zavod DT.LAB will provide instruction and children will learn the basics of programming and the use of artificial intelligence-based tools.
At the meeting, the members of the Muraba ETC and representatives of the Hungarian and Slovenian governmental bodies providing the Joint Fund resources, the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Slovenian Office for Cross-Border Countries and the Ministry of Cohesion and Rural Development of the Republic of Slovenia
The project ” Untold Stories (Messages) – Pilgrimages on the Hungarian-Slovenian Border “, co-funded by the Interreg SI-HU cross-border cooperation programme, was presented by János Magyar, Mayor of Lendava Municipality, Sabo Gerenčer Metka, Project Coordinator, Zoltán Kepe, Lendvai museologist and Mateja Kučan, Project Manager of MURABA ETT at a press conference held on 1 October 2024 at the Lendava Town Hall.
1 May 2024 marks the 20th anniversary of the accession of Hungary and Slovenia to the European Union. On the occasion of the anniversary, a quiz competition was held in Szentgotthárd for the students of the local high school.
The first event in cooperation with the Hungarian Youth Organisation of Prekmurje (SI) entitled “All right in spirit”, took place in March 2024 in Lendava.
The Muraba European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation, which is in charge of coordinating the programme, presented the strategy document that it had prepared with the involvement of experts and which would be the basis for the mobilisation of funds for international cooperation in the coming years.
Organised by MURABA EGTC, the representatives of the invited organisations were able to spend a meaningful morning in the conference room of the Hotel Lipa in Szentgotthárd. The purpose of the program was to initiate a dialogue during which, in addition to the strengths of the city and the region, the development needs that would effectively help the daily lives of the people living here can be explored.
In the last months, MURABA EGTC has been involved in the submission of 4 Interreg projects, one of which targets religious tourism, which will include the designation of a new cross-border pilgrimage route.
An international youth meeting took place in Lendava on 11 November 2022. The Slovenian and Hungarian youth had a chance to spend a meaningful day together, where, besides theoretical and sports games, they could gain insight into the regional and community development processes related to youth.
