The final partner meeting and public Green Conference of the project entitled “Accelerating and Enhancing Green Transition: Collaboration of Universities in Climate Adaptation” took place in Sarajevo.

On September 12, 2025, in Podgorica, the Pannon EGTC signed a cooperation agreement with the Montenegrin ICT Cortex cluster, one of the most influential digital and innovation players in the Western Balkans.
The CROSSDEST – Cross-border destination development for inclusive and sustainable tourism in the Slovenian-Hungarian border region aims to help destinations in the region obtain internationally recognized sustainability certifications, while also helping local service providers and attractions develop in the direction of green and accessible tourism.
On 7 October, the Pannon EGTC’s international conference “Cross-border Labour Mobility and European Integration in the Western Balkans” took place successfully in Osijek. EU institutions, Western Balkan government representatives, regional actors and experts came together to discuss the challenges and opportunities of cross-border labour mobility in the context of EU integration of the Western Balkans.
The project entitled ‘Resilient Borders – Strengthening flood and drought resilience along the Drava’, implemented by the Baranya County Council and its Croatian partner county, Virovitičko-podravska županija, with the support of the European Commission and the Association of European Border Regions – AEBR.
On 8 September 2025, the final in-person workshop of the project Resilient Borders – Enhancing Flood and Drought Resilience Along the River Drava took place in Pécs, at the seat of the Baranya County Government.
By signing the Memorandum of Understanding, Pannon European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation officially joined the Climate Bridges Network.
On 7 July 2025, the “Breaking Barriers for Local Farmers’ Markets at the SI-HU border” project officially launched, with the aim of supporting small-scale farmers in the Hungarian–Slovenian border region.
