Active ageing in the region of Košice

The first part of the strategy investigates the demographic analysis of the population in the region of Košice. The second part focuses on the opportunities offered by the region of Košice to the people over 50. A substantial part of the strategy is the proposal, which showcases specific examples that support the active lifetyle of people over the age of 50.

Completion of Project Documentations for Selected Sections of EuroVelo 11 and Zemplin Cycling Main Line in the Košice Region

The project was supported by the Ministry of Transport, Construction and Regional Development of the Slovak Republic. The main objective of the project was to prepare four project documentations, for the following partners: The municipalities of Kokšov-Bakša, Nižná Myšľa, Vinné and Michalovce.

Small Project Fund

The project was supported by the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The grant was used for the elaboration of the internal manual of the Small Project Fund and for operational activities connected with the office.

Building up the partnership trough Thematic Route Via Carpatia

The project was supported by the Ministry of Transport, Construction and Regional Development of the Slovak Republic. The main objective of the project was to enhance the development of local and cross border tourism. The project includes two main activities searching for partners and thematic routes.

Let´s plan together

The project was established to support the main activities of the Via Carpatia EGTC. The grant was used for the propagation materials, for elaboration of the second part of the Small Project Fund´s internal materials and to support the development of the primary schools through LEGO set used in the educational process.

Building partnership along the southern part of the coridor Via Carpatia

The project was established to support the main activities of the Via Carpatia EGTC. The main goal of the project is to support cross-border cooperation of public authorities and people, through which the Via Carpatia Transit route passes through.

REWAFI – Cohesion Policy of the European Union: Read-Watch-Find

The project REWAFI was financed by the DG for Regional and Urban Policy of the European Commission.

Project activities focused on dissemination of information on the Cohesion Policy of the European Union, its history, developments, legislative and policy frameworks, with an emphasis on the results achieved in the EU regions. Dissemination tools were proposed as follows: a book, a video, an infographics, and a pilot test of innovative competition. The proposed content of the book consists of the theoretical, political and legislative framework of the Cohesion Policy of the European Union and practical case studies from the EU regions (from each Member State). The summaries of the book and the most important findings were be processed in the form of an audiovisual tool (video) and infographics. In order to disseminate information on the Cohesion Policy of the European Union, a pilot test of competition was organized to look for evidence of implemented projects implemented under the Cohesion Policy of the European Union in selected regions. The outputs were translated into several official languages of the European Union and Russian language as well.

I CARE SMART – Innovation ecosystem for smart elderly care

Project I-CARE-SMART – INNOVATION ECOSYSTEM FOR SMART ELDERLY CARE was approved within the 3rd Call of the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE.

The project deals with the health and well-being of the elderly in Central Europe. This area is not only a societal challenge but also an opportunity to promote growth. The aim of the project is to support the development of innovative products and services meeting the special needs of the elderly and to support the development of a “silver economy”.

I-CARE-SMART partners aim to bring innovation closer to senior citizens and to create a structured collaboration framework for cooperation between all stakeholders in this field. I-CARE-SMART delivers a comprehensive toolset with practical guidance on how to engage seniors and businesses in user-focused co-creation and open innovation. The final goal is to build a transnational open innovation ecosystem for smart elderly care, which allows public authorities, universities, businesses, and the representatives of the elderly to regularly interact and share knowledge and information on the unmet needs of the elderly and on the potential solutions to address them. A total of 13 partners from Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Italy, Czech Republic, Austria, and Germany participate in the project.

CITYCIRCLE – Circular economy hubs in peripheral urban centres in Central Europe

Project CITYCIRCLE – Circular economy hubs in peripheral urban centres in Central Europe was approved within the 3rd Call of the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE.

CITYCIRCLE is improving innovation capacities of peripheral urban centers of Central Europe by introducing the circular economy system to partner cities. Peripheral cities of Central Europe are marked by lack of innovation cooperation and lack of access to global innovation processes. Circular economy (CE) has been acknowledged as a development concept that should provide sustainable, resource efficient development and a great pool for innovation of new technologies, services, solutions and business models to make our cities and regions better places to live and work.
