Supporting the ageing population along the River Ipoly/Ipeľ

Within the framework of the IpOLD project implemented by the Ipoly Valley European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation, seven cars were delivered in July with the support of the Interreg V-A Slovakia-Hungary Cooperation Programme, which will be used to transport elderly and needy people in the Slovakian villages of Bušince and Kalonda, in order to facilitate the elderly population’s access to the district headquarters, hospitals and clinics, as there is no regular home medical service in the villages concerned.

The ferry service between Neszmély and Radvaň nad Dunajom has started

Thanks to the joint tender of Ister-Granum EGTC, the Ministry of Construction and Transport and Hungarian Public Road Co., a new border crossing point has been inaugurated at the Slovak-Hungarian Danube section shortening by tens of kilometres the distance between the Mária Valéria Bridge between Esztergom and Štúrovo and the Erzsébet Bridge connecting Komárom and Komárno, thus making it possible to reach the settlements on both banks.

Akácos Street has been inaugurated in Dunasziget

The Municipality of Dunasziget has won a grant of HUF 42,435,146 under the call for proposals VP6-7.2.1.1-21 “Development of local roads in rural areas”, announced by the Ministry of Agriculture. This enabled the complete resurfacing of Akácos Street in the municipality. The official opening took place on 23 June 2023.

Project opening event in Kunsziget

The opening event of the KEHOP-2.2.2-15-2021-00153 project, Modernization and expansion of the Kunsziget and its region’s wastewater treatment plant, was held on 23.06.2023.

Press conference and kick-off event of the ZeroWaste project

On 23 May 2023, the first official press conference of the project ‘ZeroWaste: Theory for Everybody, Practice for Everyone in the Cross-Border Region’ (HUSKROUA/1701/LIP/006) was held in Nyíregyháza (HU), and on 8 June the project kick-off event was held in Yanoshi, Berehove district (UA).
