Pannon EGTC, together with CESCI and the Mura Region EGTC, organised a professional event on cross-border trade of local products in Lenti on 30 May 2023, with the support of the Association of European Border Regions and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.
The Pannon EGTC held the closing conference of the “CB Joint Strategy” project at the Kodály Centre in Pécs on 26 April 2023.
The Information day of the strategic project “CBJointStrategy – Supporting the development of the HU-HR border region by a common strategy jointly formulated by the various actors of the cross-border area”, which is implemented within the Interreg V-A – Hungary-Croatia Cross-border Co-operation Programme 2014-2020, was held on Friday, 31st of March 2023 in the city of Barcs.
The B-Solutions 2.0 initiative is a continuation of the programme, launched by the European Commission in 2018 under the same name, to tackle cross-border barriers in the European Union. In particular, the programme provides expert assistance to cross-border areas and communities to develop specific solutions for cross-border legal obstacles.
At the end of 2022, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade launched a call for proposals to support the operational and project funding activities of the European Groupings for Territorial Cooperation in 2023. The available funding was HUF 170 million, of which a maximum of HUF 17 million per applicant could be awarded.
In all channels, the Ministry for Regional Development underlines the importance of involving local organisations and knowledge centres into the planning process. To strengthen this effort, strategic agreements are signed with those partners who can provide a meaningful contribution to the country’s development.
On 29 November 2022, Tibor Navracsics, Minister for Regional Development, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the representatives of seventeen organisations, including the Ister-Granum and the Pons Danubii EGTCs.
The Interreg Europe project INTER VENTURES of the Pannon European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (Pannon EGTC) – “Policies to promote the internationalisation of SMEs for more competitive regional ecosystems in border areas of the EU” is coming to an end.
The handbook was commissioned by the Pannon European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation and created with the support of the European Union. The publication aims to help local Croatian farmers by offering information on the Hungarian rules of distribution and selling of agricultural products.
