The Active and Ecotourism Development Centre, in partnership with the Arrabona EGTC, has published its latest publication, the Adventure Map of the Szigetköz area.
The Municipality of Dunasziget has won a grant of HUF 42,435,146 under the call for proposals VP6-7.2.1.1-21 “Development of local roads in rural areas”, announced by the Ministry of Agriculture. This enabled the complete resurfacing of Akácos Street in the municipality. The official opening took place on 23 June 2023.
The opening event of the KEHOP-2.2.2-15-2021-00153 project, Modernization and expansion of the Kunsziget and its region’s wastewater treatment plant, was held on 23.06.2023.
In Dunakiliti, the construction of an active multifunctional tourist entry and exit point has started, which will be built at the junction of the Zátonyi-Dunaág and Gyümölcsös Street.
The new building was inaugurated on 16 February 2023 within the framework of the EU project “Establishing the Reformed Nursery of Győr”, which was implemented under the consortium leadership of the Municipality of Győr, in partnership with the Reformed Church of Győr.
At the end of 2022, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade launched a call for proposals to support the operational and project funding activities of the European Groupings for Territorial Cooperation in 2023. The available funding was HUF 170 million, of which a maximum of HUF 17 million per applicant could be awarded.
A workshop specialised for institutions having an interest in bathing tourism in Hungary and Slovakia was held in Piešťany on 28 September 2022, organised by the SIK civil association of Šaľa and its project partner, Arrabona EGTC, based in Győr.
The Arrabona EGTC organized a study tour to Nagypáli and ZalaZone on 22 September 2022, to which the leaders and representatives of its member municipalities were invited.
The publication, presenting the options for active tourism in the tourism region (Győr-Pannonhalma-Szigetköz), was created with the cooperation of the Aktív- és Ökoturisztikai Fejlesztési Központ (Active and Eco-tourism Development Centre).
