Arrabona EGTC

The active tourist entry and exit point of Dunakiliti, a multifunctional building, was completed in the framework of the joint project of Arrabona EGTC and Dunakiliti Municipality, which was handed over on December 6, 2023. The facility is located at the junction of the Zátonyi-Danube branch and Gyümölcsös street, where Dunakiliti meets the wild and romantic nature of Szigetköz. The building has a community space, barrier-free washroom, men’s and women’s bathroom, storage room and outdoor shower. With the help of a net HUF 27,652,755 grant received during the project, construction began in the summer of 2023 and was completed by the end of this year. The leaders of the settlement and the county took part in the handover ceremony, and the program also included professional lectures and a viewing of the interactive exhibition of the Dunakiliti Dam. As part of the development, a marketing strategy and a climate change resilience study were also prepared, which ensured the successful implementation and sustainability of the project. As a consortium partner, Arrabona EGTC carried out the activities related to project preparation, mandatory communication, marketing and project management tasks.
