The project “Sustain Migrants’ Integration for Linking Networks in an Inclusive Europe” is promoted by the Municipality of Fondachelli Fantina with the aim to create a thematic network of towns. This network is planned to raise awareness about issues linked to migration, integration and social inclusion, fight against marginalization and the stigmatization of migrants. The project aims to strengthen a strong, long lasting and fruitful cooperation between partners from Italy, Poland, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Netherlands, Slovakia, Malta, Portugal, Spain, Germany, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia and Bulgaria. In most of these countries migration is an open debate and these countries seem to be losing. During the project more than 600 participants will be involved, with a huge impact on active and inactive participants. This wider partnership represents a platform for dialogue on the most important priority for EU and a challenge for European Society, stimulating new forms of civic participation and integration, for security and European cohesion.

The main objective of the project is to involve municipalities, local conditions, stakeholders, experts and non-governmental organisations, that receive and integrate migrants and refugees every day. Furthermore, we aim to involve citizens and young people, in order to increase awareness on the policies of integration, asylum, participation and political rights, intercultural communication and cultural mediators, minors, women (for giving a gender perspective), services to immigrants, and the health care system. The project will support 5 itinerant events around Europe. The meetings will leave room for public debates, diffusion and exchange of best practices, comparison, round table discussions, case studies, interactive workshops. Life stories of migrants will be introduced through interviews and documentaries, and material documents will be created which will be transferred by innovative tools (ICT) for the involvement of young people.
