During the project, the partners learned about all three parts of the circular economy: how products/energies are made, how to use them responsibly and how to avoid producing waste in the household, schools, municipalities or communities. The proposal transfers this approach to the schools for future generations, but not only theoretically: it plays an important role in the everyday school practice of students and teachers. The necessary and visible level is reducing, separating and composting waste in schools. A training programme consisting of five training packages and a manual for teachers was developed and implemented. 30 Hungarian and 30 Slovak students participated in the series of thematic events. In order to raise environmental awareness, the selected schools got the equipment and accessories for the separated collection of waste and composting. The equipment did not only serve as visual aids during the training session, the school uses the equipment every day.
