2021-27 Hungarian-Croatian cross-border cooperation programme document accepted

After a long break, the programming phase of the Hungarian-Croatian Cross-Border Programme has finally started again. The representatives of the two countries began the negotiations at Čakovec on 29 March 2022.

The topic during the meeting of the Programming Committee of the Hungarian-Croatian cross-border programme in the 2021-2027 EU budget period was the adoption of the programme document, as the draft programme of the new period had to be submitted by 2nd April 2022 to the European Committee.

The Programming Committee accepted the planned objectives and the summary of the programme, which was then submitted to the European Committee by the representatives of the competent department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. However, the two countries were still not able to agree upon the Managing Authority, thus the Committee was not able to accept the programme. When this obstacle is cleared, the 2021-27 Hungarian-Croatian cross-border programme can proceed.
