BTC EGTC employee participated in training in Oslo

The Municipality4Democracy training course was held in Oslo, Norway, between October 9-14. 2022, to which 28 youth professionals from 10 European Union countries (Portugal, Italy, Norway, Belgium, Greece, Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Croatia, Hungary) were invited. At the training, the participants learned about modern means of involving young people in decision-making and the possibilities of encouraging active citizenship. The BTC EGTC project manager, Klára Ágnes Bihari, represented Mórahalom City Municipality – as an EGTC member municipality – at the training. The interactive training implemented with non-formal education methods provided the opportunity to develop professional competencies, exchange best practices, build networks and take the first steps in planning joint projects.

The new methodological tools learned will help the Banat-Triplex Confinium EGTC to reach and involve young people in cross-border initiatives, since shaping the future of the region is in the hands of young people, and it involves a lot of responsibility. Another result of the training was learning about European Union tender opportunities based on the involvement of young people, the implementation of which supports the strengthening of the territorial-cultural-economic cohesion of the border region and encourages young people to stay in their homeland.
