Opening of an interactive exhibition in Košice

As part of the “Élő történelem” – “Living History” project, a new interactive exhibition was ceremoniously opened on March 16, 2022 in the Lower Gate in Košice. The cooperation of Via Carpatia EGTC, the Jövő Útja Nonprofit Ltd. and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary enabled to acquire information and communication technologies, an information panel as well as various audiovisual elements. The new exhibition was created with the ambition to increase the number of visitors to the Lower Gate as well as to revive history and spread awareness of the history of the city of Košice.

In his ceremonial speech Mayor of Košice Ing. Jaroslav Polaček presented the project and welcomed as special guest Mr. Kiss-Parciu Deputy State Secretary for Regional and Cross-Border Economic Development and Trade of Hungary, and dr. Ágota Hetey General Consul of Hungary in Košice. The speeches were followed by an interactive stroll through the Lower Gate, which was guided by the well-known local patriot Milan Kolcún.
