On August 25, 2023, local producers and artisans from Nyíregyháza participated in a professional study trip in Gorlice within the framework of the “Made in V4 – Let the local product be our common value” project organised by the European Border Cities EGTC. During the program, the participants gained an insight into the secrets of making goat cheese, learned about Polish beekeeping, winemaking and organic fruit farming. The evening ended with a joint dinner in a local restaurant, the focus of which was on the promotion of mushrooms and their use in gastronomy.

The project is implemented in partnership with Nyíregyháza, Szatmárnémeti, Nagykapos and Gorlice. The support was provided by the governments of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia, as well as the International Visegrad Fund, whose mission is to promote sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.

As an additional event of the project, on September 15, 2023 in Nyíregyháza, at the “Made in V4” professional day, local producers presented themselves at a mini fair combined with a tasting. On September 16-17, a backyard fair was held on Kossuth square with various local and handicraft products, with which visitors from the regions of Nyíregyháza and Gorlice awaited those interested.
