The final conference of the DANUrB+ project was held

The 3rd and closing international conference of the DANUrB+ Project was held in Budapest, Hungary, on 12 and 13 December 2022. The aim of the event was to disseminate all the experiences and achievements of the initiative. The partners reflected on, and presented their individual and collective efforts, with a primary focus on highlighting the achievements and collaboration that will endure for future generations, the future plans of the DANUrB International Association (DIA), and ideas for extension of the project along the Danube Region.

The final conference of Workforce Pipeline

The closing conference of the Workforce Pipeline project of the Novum Danuvium Employment Action Plan managed by the EGTC Pons Danubii took place in Tata on 13 December 2022. At the event, the partners presented the results of the project.

The aim of the project was to establish a real relationship between training institutions and businesses. As a result, vocational and higher education opportunities will approach market and industry needs, and internship opportunities between educational institutions and businesses will be strengthened. As one of the main pillars of the project, a dual workshop was established with the investment of assets of Tata.

The new internship location prepared by Fogaskerékgyár Ltd. supports vocational training institutions in the target area. Another pillar is the jointly developed career guidance services and events of Komárom-Esztergom County Government Office and the János Selye University, as well as their coordinated implementation, which ensures labour supply in the given sector. For senior high school students, career guidance events, information days and factory visits were organised.

The renovation of the Komárom fortress under the KOMFORT project is progressing

The development of the fortification system in Komárom, which is on the tentative list to be a World Heritage Site, has reached a new stage. In the framework of the KOMFORT project, renovation works are being carried out in the area of Ujvar in North Komárom and the Igmánd fortress in southern Komárom, supported by the Interreg V-A SK-HU Cross-border Cooperation Programme, partly with the management of the EGTC Pons Danubii.

The CULTPLAY Thematic Play Park in Tata soon to be finalised

In the framework of the CULTPLAY project, thematic parks will be established that evoke the famous buildings of the Pons Danubii EGTC’s area. These parks can be used as playgrounds by children, but they also offer an augmented reality development, which is available in 3 languages (Hungarian, Slovak, English). Each park will recommend visiting the other parks as well, thus attracting visitors from one side of the Danube to the other.
